SONGWRITING

I was born to be a songwriter.

The very first day I touched a guitar, I tried to write a song-or something akin to it- and I'm still trying...

The thing is that it's very pretentious to pretend being able to rival legends of Rock'n'Roll, especially that there is no diploma to join the club...and I won't be arrogant.

Arti'st

ArtiGussy is a one-man band. As a mere craftsman, he works on his own material from the songwriting through to recording. He sings and plays all the instruments. His influences are essentially Rock, Blues, Folk, Reggae and Gospel. He has been working on putting an album together for years, out of the fringes of the music industry. Artigussy’s lyrics-the fruits of many a time spent contemplating the world around him -focus on the trials and tribulations of our everyday lives and beyond. They are reflections of what goes on in his mind, happy or sad. The passing of time, the imprints left by lovers and friends lost or still alive, travels, dreams and nightmares are the main characters in Artigussy’s musical paintings. Stay tuned and keep your eyes wide shut

SINGING
Harmonies

I can't explain but it's often difficult for me to write songs without two or three different harmonies around the main line. I do love harmonies.

Anytime I hear gospel music, a chill runs up and down my spine.

To me, singing is as natural as crying for a hungry baby born.

INSTRUMENTS

Playing

I never considered guitars as instruments but as limbs.

Playing guitar is like using legs or your tongue.

Another ability to move and to express yourself.
